Snowmobiling

Snowmobile through the beautiful Shoshone and Bridger Teton National Forests. Take a half or full day adventure into some of the most beautiful country in the United States. Whether you are a new comer to the sport, or a veteran of the deep back country powder, Brooks has something to offer everyone! Brooks Lake has been said to have the finest continental divide snowmobiling in the Rocky Mountains. SnoWest magazine subscribers rate the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail number one of the top fifteen snowmobile trails in the United States!

At 9,200 feet above sea level, the winter lodge typically receives between 8 to 12 feet of superb powder snow annually. A truly unique experience awaits you in untouched meadows, scenic backcountry trails and incredible mountain tops.

Whether you embark on a half-day ride to surrounding valleys and vistas, or venture on a whole day guided snowmobile tour where lunch will be served at a nearby lodge or restaurant, your day is sure to be an exciting winter vacation activity. Your snowmobile vacation includes experienced, knowledgeable guides that accompany all of our snowmobile tours. The guides will equip you with helmets, snow clothing and boots, and make sure you understand the rules and regulations of snowmobiling.

Crosscountry Skiing

Brooks Lake Lodge offers snow conditions to rival any other ski area in the country. An abundance of superb powder snow, coupled with spectacular scenery, will provide you with a memorable cross-country skiing experience.

Yellowstone Track Systems equipment will be used to groom trails throughout the forest, as well as trails leaving from our front door. As always, for the hardiest cross-country skiers, we will still offer unlimited backcountry skiing. Why not try both!

Our experienced guides offer instruction to the beginners, and will accompany you as you kick and glide your way through the sun drenched, sparkling blanket of fresh powder snow. Bring your own gear or use our line of Madshus skis with easy, step-in Rottefella bindings and Alpina boots.

Dog Sledding

Dogsledding tours will be available to you as a guest of the lodge for an additional cost. Let the team at Brooks Lake arrange a half or whole day dogsled ride for you with a team of huskies and your own personal and professional guide. Hosted by Continental Divide Dog Sled Adventures and Iditarod veteran Billy Snodgrass.

For the perfect way to start your adventure at Brooks Lake Lodge, we can arrange to have a team dogs pick you up at the main road and deliver you to the winter lodge while your bags are transported via our snow coach.
