Travel to Wyoming, to Brooks Lake Lodge, a summer vacation spot offering: Wyoming fly fishing Wyoming horseback riding Mountain hiking Horse pack trips WYOMING FISHING VACATION Your Wyoming fishing guide will lead you to crystal clear high alpine lakes, spring fed streams, or relax in a canoe on "The Lake".   Crystal clear high-mountain lakes, spring fed streams and rivers full of Brook, Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. Canoes are at your disposal for Brooks Lake fishing, which is located directly below the lodge. Try an all-day trail ride to our hidden lakes. A horse and professional guide will deliver you to breathtaking lakes and rivers and supply you with a pack lunch. If you don't feel like leaving the property, Brooks Lake has recently added a 1 acre casting pond for you to practice your casting technique right outside of your cabin door. We can provide fly and spin rods, in addition to pack versions of both or bring your own. Licenses and fishing gear can be purchased at the fishing lodge.   WYOMING HORSEBACK RIDING Whether you're an experienced rider or a beginner, you can expect the horseback ride of a lifetime.   Witness the incredible world of Wyoming wildlife from the back of a mountain-bred trail horse. Accustomed to the steep terrain and high altitude, our horses and guides will provide a safe, pleasurable journey through dozens of beautiful trails. For those who haven’t been on a horse at all or are a little rusty, our wranglers will be sure that you receive proper instruction before departing on a half or whole-day horseback trail ride. Experienced riders may arrange a trip better suited to their level of expertise. A professional guide will pair up horse and rider prior to the horseback riding trip. Horses are handpicked for riders based on ability and rider preference. Get ready for a horseback adventure you'll never forget!   MOUNTAIN HIKING Ride or hike above the camp to take in the breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountain peaks.

Exhilaration and a sense of accomplishment will be yours when you summit the Pinnacles and look down at the world. Brooks Lake offers dozens of Wyoming hiking trails to choose from when you are seeking that perfect hiking excursion. Destinations might include Austin’s Peak, Brooks Mountain or the Jade Lakes. A guide will accompany you or you may create your own wilderness adventure.

The lodge assures that you are prepared for your outing by providing a pack lunch with plenty of snacks and fresh drinking water, and instruction on mountain safety. A Brooks Lake hiking guide leads interpretive hikes to promote safety and awareness while teaching you about our indigenous wild game and flora.

HORSE PACK TRIPS

Join in one of our custom pack trips venturing far into the wilderness.

Imagine, waking up to the smell of coffee brewing over an open fire, and the wind whispering through your tent. After your cup of coffee you may want to go for a peaceful hike through the serene wilderness where you may witness the incredible world of Wyoming wildlife, such as elk, deer, moose, big horn sheep and bald eagles.

Fly-fishing on our hidden lakes and streams, where the fish are plentiful and hungry, is another option. Bring your catch back to our campsite and enjoy an old-fashioned rustic meal, prepared by our chefs.

You may decide to ride farther into the backcountry where our guide will take you on an exciting, delightful trip where you can discover the photographer in you. Just imagine flowers, plentiful meadows, wildlife to admire and scenery that will make your heart ache and long for the distant days of the yesteryear.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM

Your child's stay at Brooks Lake Lodge will be safe, fun, and unforgettable.

When you bring your children to Brooks Lake Lodge, it may be the beginning of an important appreciation of the natural world and, before you know it, they may be hooked on the outdoors for the rest of their lives.

A children's coordinator can take your kids on a half or full day trail walk to learn about plants, bugs and wildlife and, most importantly, have fun!

With horseback riding, canoe trips, fishing lessons and arts and crafts, your children will never have a dull moment.

After dinner, movies are played to help your adventurers unwind, or everyone can gather around a campfire under the starry sky and enjoy games, storytelling and treats.

We are not open for lodging between our Summer and Winter seasons, but we do invite and accept photo shoots.
