Brooks Lake Lodge Offers Reservation-only Winter Lunch to the Public

Local favorite to serve gourmet snow-season lunches with new guidelines in historic hall

Dubois, Wyoming – December 21, 2020 – Locals and visitors can still enjoy a day trip of snowmobiling, snowshoeing or even fat biking the snowy road that leads to Brooks Lake Lodge for lunch this winter; however, they will need to make a reservation. While typically the lodge is open to the public for winter lunches on a first-come, first-served basis, to continue to put the safety of staff and guests first, the lodge will host a limited number of reservation-only daily lunch guests for this year’s December 20, 2020 – March 15, 2021, season.

Always a popular way to spend a winter day in Wyoming – and just named a perfect place to “Lean in to Winter” by Travel + Leisure magazine – Brooks Lake Lodge has been a long-time favorite for regional snowmobilers and other outdoor adventurers. Each winter season, the lodge enjoys serving its daytime guests a well-earned, hearty lunch while offering riders the comfort of warming up by one of the lodge’s giant crackling fires before heading back out to enjoy the snowy backcountry terrain. Continuing that tradition is important to the lodge, and they are asking for daytime lunch guests to call in advance at 307-455-2121 to reserve space for their party, so that the lodge can maintain a limited amount of people indoors at a time.

The spacious and historic Great Hall, complete with a relaxing fire in its classic stone fireplace, offers a beautiful space for guests to warm up – and the meals are sure to satisfy everyone. This year the culinary team will be offering several new items to the lunch menu such as appetizers including Duck Confit Poutine with seasoned fried potatoes, confit duck leg, white cheddar curds, stout beer gravy and pickled red onion; and Trout Hushpuppies with a dill and arbol chili aioli. New lunch entrees will include the Buffaloaf, a bacon-wrapped bison open-faced sandwich with a horseradish aioli and crispy fried jalapenos; and a new Steak Sandwich, featuring braised brisket with goat cheese butter, balsamic mushrooms, wilted spinach, and pickled red onions. As for dessert, the deep-fried cookie dough, a fan favorite, is not going anywhere.

Lunch at Brooks Lake Lodge begins December 20, 2020, and is served daily from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Reservations are required by calling 307-455-2121.
