Governor’s Tea Room
Allow us to serve you a hot beverage or a glass of wine as you enjoy the cheerful company of friends new and old as you warm yourself by the fire.
The Governor’s Tea Room at Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa was part of the original historic building constructed in 1922. The decor includes one of our four great fireplaces, an antlered chandelier, and artwork (paintings and sculptures) depicting the Wild West. It’s the perfect place to partake of sweet and savory treats and hearty conversation.
Tea, cookies, crackers, fine cheeses, and fresh fruit are served here daily at 4:30 p.m.
Four Great Fireplaces
The four great fireplaces at Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa serve as friendly gathering places in the peaceful setting of this mountain resort.
Each stone fireplace is an immense pillar of the American West, surrounded by friendship and comfort, making it the ideal place for passing the time or recounting the exciting events of the day.
To ensure that you have the most relaxed vacation of your life, please take a seat, and allow us to provide you with a warm beverage or a glass of wine as you bask in the warmth of the fire.
Corral and Pastures
A herd of spirited horses grazes in the rolling pastures surrounding Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa. Each morning, wranglers corral and saddle these sure-footed steeds, preparing them for trail rides through the mountains and forest. Most evenings, you can watch as these beautiful animals return to their lakeside pastures at 4:30 p.m.
In the outdoor riding arena, young children take controlled, pony-style rides, accompanied by our expert staff, and enjoy riding at a trot.
For added adventure, be sure to book an overnight pack trip into the Western wilderness when making your reservation.
Casting Pond
Spend the day fishing on one of the neighboring lakes or rivers to perfect your cast, or enjoy some quality time fishing with your children at Brooks Lake.
This man-made fishing hole that is more than an acre in size is stocked with a variety of trout, including Yellowstone cutthroat. Lessons in fly fishing are provided each day to anyone who is interested in learning the sport.
Our Casting Pond is one of the few locations in Wyoming where fishing is allowed without the need for a fishing license. Visitors are offered both fly and spin rods as a courtesy during their stay.
